Authorize Earth
An identity verification and compliance platform for merchants, live at authorize.earth. A merchant embeds an SDK, a customer photographs an ID and takes a selfie, and the platform returns a decision with the reasons behind it. Everything runs on models I trained and host on my own GPU instances, with no third party AI vendors in the path.
I built document OCR, a six classifier forgery detection ensemble, liveness and presentation attack detection, 1:N face matching on FAISS indexes, sanctions and politically exposed person screening synced from government sources on a daily refresh, adverse media search, and tax ID validation for 180 countries. Around that sits a React and TypeScript SDK, a server to server API with signed webhooks, a merchant dashboard with a manual review queue, and public benchmark pages for each product.
The company started as a Shopify transaction security app through a reseller partnership with Plaid, which is what reached merchants, about fifty installs in total. The IDV platform came after and is complete but did not have production customers.
